7 Sundays, 4 DJs, one glacier party
Under the motto "Celebrate at 3,212 metres until the sun goes down", your skiing day comes to a special end on Sundowner Sunday. While the sky turns orange and deep red behind the three-thousand metre peaks, you can enjoy drinks, snacks, and a unique atmosphere. Four DJs provide the right beat on the seven Sundays: DJ Nick, DJ Pat, DJ Patex and DJ Goo Fy. Your slope adventure couldn't end in a more atmospheric way! Bring your friends and party at the "highest level".
Please note: in case of bad weather, the Sundowner Party will be cancelled.
Photo competition: share moments and win
Our party in the snow on Sundays is probably one of the most photogenic events in the Schnalstal Valley. Of course, everyone will be reaching for their camera. But you cannot only create like-worthy Instagram stories with your snapshots, you can also share them and, with a bit of luck, win! Every Sunday, the best photo or story shared on Facebook or Instagram will be honoured. You can win two one-day ski passes for the 2024/25 winter season and you also have the chance to win our main prize, an Ortler Skiarena season pass for 2024/25!
Descent with the new Schnalstal Glacier Cable Car
At Christmas 2023, the new Schnalstal Glacier Cable Car ceremoniously opened its doors. First opened in 1975, the cable car was replaced by a newer and more modern aerial tramway during the general overhaul in April 2023. The road to the new cable car was long, yet it was completed in record time: from the removal of the old cable car supports to the renovation of the valley and mountain stations and the installation of the new cabins. Being one of the highest cable cars in the Alps, it covers a distance of 2,150 metres in less than six minutes, climbing 1,180 metres in altitude. You can find out more about the renovation and modernisation of the glacier cable car in the construction diary.
After each Sundowner Party on the seven Sundays, visitors float back down to the valley with the glacier cable car. The party only ends even more beautifully when you are our guest and can return directly to your cosy mountain room after our party in the mountains. Want to try it?
