The winter season on the glacier (training season) will start on September 20. The Lazaun and Roter Kofel lifts will remain open until October 6, 2024.

The Glacier Hotel Grawand stands breathtakingly beautiful on the Val Senales glacier. 126 three-thousand-metre peaks surround the house at the mountain station of the Val Senales glacier cable car. The ski slope and high-alpine hiking trails start right outside the hotel entrance and two other attractions are in the close by: the Iceman Ötzi Peak viewing platform on the Grawand summit and the art installation Our Glacial Perspectives on the Grawand ridge.

Coming from Munich, you drive via Rosenheim to Kufstein and via the Inntal motorway to Innsbruck. Alternatively, you can also drive from Munich via Garmisch to Innsbruck. Follow the Brenner motorway from Innsbruck to the Bolzano Sud motorway exit. You can get to Merano via the MEBO motorway. Continue on the Vinschger state road (SS 38) to Naturno. Here the road branches off to the right into Val Senales, which you then follow to the end of the valley.
A little longer, but definitely worth it, is the approach via the Passo di Monte Giovo (Vipiteno motorway exit) or the Passo del Rombo (accessible via the Ötztal). Both routes lead through the Val Passiria (Passeier valley) to Merano.

From Ulma you get to the Reschenpass via Kempten, Füssen, the Fernpass, Imst and Landeck. After the border, follow the Vinschger state road (SS 38) to Naturno and then turn left into the Val Senales valley. Drive to the end of the valley to Maso Corto.
From Bregenz, you can reach the Reschenpass via Feldkirch, the Arlberg and Landeck. After the border, follow the Vinschger state road (SS 38) to Naturno and then turn left into the Val Senales valley. Drive to the end of the valley to Maso Corto.
From St. Moritz you get to Glurns via the Passo del Forno (Ofenpass), Münster, Tubre. After the border, follow the Vinschger state road (SS 38) to Naturno and then turn left into the Val Senales valley. Drive to the end of the valley to Maso Corto.
From Zurich you can get to Glorenza via Landquart, Klosters, the Vereina tunnel, Zernez, the Passo del Forno, Münster and Tubre. After the border, follow the Vinschger state road (SS 38) to Naturno and then turn left into the Val Senales valley. Drive to the end of the valley to Maso Corto.

From Lienz you drive via San Candido and the Val Pusteria state road 49 to the motorway entrance Bressanone Varna. Take the Brenner motorway south to the Süd exit. Here the road branches off to the right into Val Senales, which you then follow to the end of the valley.

When you arrive in Maso Corto, drive your car through the barriers without ringing the bell. Pick up your number for the car park, the key and the ski pass at the ticket office. (You are welcome to park in front of the glacier cable car in the meantime.) Then press the bell next to the glacier cable car and turn left (towards the ramp) into the car park behind the glacier cable car. Unload your luggage on the designated trolley. Then park your car in the parking garage, go back to the luggage loading station behind the glacier cable car and then up the ramp. If you are stopped by an employee of the Alpin Arena Schnals please show your ski pass, which is valid from the next day.
IMPORTANT:
Please allow enough time for your journey. To make sure you don't miss the last cable car ride, we recommend that you check into the hotel at the valley station of the Val Senales glacier cable car in Maso Corto by 4 pm at the latest. Especially during the winter months, bad weather conditions may cause delays on the route.
