A cross-country skiing holiday in South Tyrol at an undreamt-of height

High-altitude tour on the Val Senales/Schnalstal glacier

Millions of snow crystals sparkle like diamonds in the winter sun while you glide leisurely through the wildly romantic mountain world. When you spend your cross-country skiing holiday in South Tyrol at our hotel in Val Senales/Schnalstal, you will reach undreamt-of heights. And with a little luck, you might meet some of the stars of Nordic skiing while gliding smoothly along the Val Senales/Schnalstal glacier, where numerous athletes prepare for the coming winter season. That’s because perfect training conditions prevail here almost all year round. The Giogo Alto/Hochjoch high-altitude cross-country ski run, an approximately 10-kilometre circuit through the eternal ice and untouched natural landscape, is open from September to mid-December and can be easily reached with the Grawand chairlift from our mountain hotel in South Tyrol. The two-kilometre long cross-country ski trail on the snow-sure Lazaun plateau is just as attractive from a landscape point of view. It is prepared from mid-December to April. Here, you can enjoy your laps in absolute seclusion and find peace in the process.
